BE A MEMBER

Membership is an important part of the WV Scenic Trails Association (WVSTA). As an all-volunteer organization we rely on our members to offset the costs of tools, equipment and supplies to build and maintain the 311 miles of the Allegheny Trail (ALT), the longest trail in West Virginia.

Membership provides the opportunity to be part of a vibrant volunteer organization that maintains the ALT.

Membership in WVSTA is not limited to people in West Virginia. Anyone can join!

WVSTA offers:

  • General memberships:

    • Several levels, for individuals and households.

    • General members ALL get the same benfits.

  • Business / Group memberships:

    • Member levels are Silver, Gold and Platinum.

    • Business / Group member benefits increase at each level.

WVSTA GENERAL MEMBERSHIP OPTIONS

  • Student - $10

    Student level is for age 22 and under

  • Introductory - $10

    Introductory level is for a new member who has not previously been a member.

  • Military Veteran - $20

  • Senior - $20

    Senior level is for age 65 and over.

  • Individual - $25

  • Family / Household - $35

  • Life - $500

  • General Membership Benefits

    General members ALL get the same benefits

    • 1 vote at the WVSTA annual meeting.

    • One name automatically entered in a WVSTA holiday raffle basket per year drawn in December.

    • 10% off web-store merchandise.

    • 2 newsletters - the WVSTA quarterly newsletter and the ALT monthly newsletter. Both newsletters are sent via email.

    • Free zoom series access.

    • Early registration for ALT organized hikes.

WVSTA Adopt-a-trail Opportunity
The WVSTA is an all-volunteer organization. If you wish to help the rest of our volunteers by contributing time and energy to maintaining the Allegheny Trail, consider adopting a segment for annual maintenance purposes. If you have a favorite segment of trail, there is no better way to give back to the trail for all the good outdoor experiences it has offered to you, than by caring for that segment.
