For over 20 years the WVSTA has held an annual “Trek” Back Packing  trip the weekend of the Columbus Day Holiday as an annual fund raising event that benefits both WVSTA and a charity to be decided at this years annual meeting.

This hike is suitable for beginners, who will have the benefit of support from a ground crew, as well as the camaraderie of
experienced backpackers.

Participants are asked to pay an entry fee which covers a T-shirt, a victory luncheon and snacks along the trail.  Each participant is also asked to raise at least $100.00 in donations.

25% of the amount raised goes to a charity to be decided at this years annual meeting, 75% goes to WVSTA for Trail Development.

The TREK is designed to allow even the occasional backpacker to enjoy a wonderful weekend in the woods. New backpackers can
take advantage of veteran backpackers’ expertise before the TREK and obtain advice on gear, food, and packing tips.

TREK 2018 will be in and around Watoga State Park. More information about the gathering and camping spot will be available in the August Newsletter and further information will be e-mailed or mailed to those who Register.

Your $25.00 registration fee received by Sept 1st reserves your collectable TREK t-shirt, snacks and victory luncheon.

Reservations received after the deadline will not receive a t-shirt due to processing time on the shirts.

It's never too early to begin collecting pledges.

Seventy-Five percent of the proceeds from this years trek will benefit WVSTA to further Trail development.

We ask each participant to raise a minimum of $100.00
