The 2017 Trek Has Been Cancelled For This Year.
I am sorry to announce that this year's Allegheny Trek has been cancelled. There were not enough people registered to make it a viable event this year. Our expenses for the trek would have been more than we would have potentially raised by holding the Trek. As a very small organization we cannot afford to hold any event that will not at least break even after all expenses are taken care of.
Over the next few months the WVSTA board will be discussing how to potentially revive the Trek moving forward. Comments from members are more than welcome, in fact they are vital if we are going to have this event or another type event to raise funds for WVSTA to be able to maintain the Allegheny Trail, website, etc.
Without the Trek we will be running on a shoe string budget for the next year. If you would like to make a donation toward helping us keep a balanced budget for the next year any amount would be greatly appreciated. Please remember if you itemize on your Federal Tax Return that your donation is tax deductible since we are a 501c3 (not for profit) organization.
If you would like to donate you can use our donation page:
