
Spring the Road -- May 7-9, 2010
A Spring weekend car-camping, slackpacking adventure that covers the country road portions of the Allegheny Trail, primarily in Sections 1 and 2. On May 7-9, 2010 we will HQ out of Rowlesburg Cannon Hill Shelter and walk the country roads southeast of Rowlesburg. This will allow us to explore the proposed PATH and TrAIL powerline corridor impact zone over the Allegheny Trail.

A warm season, fun-filled, water-based weekend of swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and eating good food at the Majestros' historic home on the banks of Elk River in Sutton. June 25-27, 2010.
Allegheny Trail Cooperators' Meeting & Board Meeting -- August 28, 2010
The last Saturday in August of every year. Trail volunteers, adopt-the-trail maintainers, agency cooperators, private land-owning cooperators, and WVSTA officers meet to discuss issues and opportunities of the Trail. In 2010 the meeting will be held at 1PM on August 28. The location TBA later on this webpage and in the Whoop-n-Holler newsletter.
Trek -- Friday-Sunday of Columbus Day Week-end each year.
A 25-mile backpacking trek fund-raiser to benefit Camp Mountain Heart and the WV Scenic Trails Association (WVSTA). Camp Mountain Heart provides a summer camp experience for children with heart disease. WVSTA is the organization that built and maintains the Allegheny Trail, WV's only long-distance hiking trail.
